For the first time in its 16 year history, the Riches of Clare concert series has been cancelled.

Founded in 2005, it has been confirmed that the 2021 running of the Riches of Clare concert series will not proceed.

County Arts Officer, Siobhán Mulcahy told The Clare Echo that their decision to cancel was difficult but was done to prioritise the safety of their musicians and audience. She paid tribute to their audiences and visitors for their support, appreciation and dedication.

Musicians have been understanding over the announcement, Siobhan said. She also expressed gratitude to Fleadh Nua, the Feakle Music Festival with whom they collaborate, their hosts The Sanctuary at The Queens Hotel in Ennis and programme co-ordinator Mike Butler “who had put together a marvellous line-up again this year”.

“We are already planning for 2021, and we look forward to picking up where we left off in style,” Mulcahy added.
