Over 600 houses have signed up to Shannon’s largest ever stay at home bingo.

Organised by the James Sexton owned Hiya Entertainment and the Lagan family, the community of Shannon is using its love of bingo to raise funds for Pieta House.

Beginning at 5:30pm this evening (Saturday), participants can join the game of Bingo by visiting Hiya Entertainment’s Facebook page allowing people to play via their own devices in the comfort of their home or garden.

A spokesperson for LoveShannon said it is going to be “Shannon’s biggest game of bingo yet”. They have encouraged people to donate online with all funds going to Pieta House, “a charity close to everyone’s hearts”.

Toni Langan who is one of those spearheading the fundraiser. She is hopeful it will be the biggest game of bingo the town of Shannon has seen. “Let’s go bit but stay home,” she outlined while urging people to continue to adhere to public health regulations.

So far, €2,805 has been raised from the fundraiser started by the Langans.
