Current champions Ballyea have been handed the difficult task of facing Crusheen in the last eight. On form Sixmilebridge will meet Éire Óg who themselves have showed impressive championship form to date in beating Kilmaley and Newmarket-on-Fergus. Feakle fresh from dumping Clooney/Quin out of the race for the Canon Hamilton were drawn with Inagh/Kilnamona while the meeting of Clonlara and Cratloe is sure to attract plenty of interest.
At the outset of the year, both Tubber and St Josephs Doora/Barefield would have targetted promotion to the senior ranks however one of them will be eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the Clare IHC. Sixmilebridge’s second string have a tough ask coming up against Broadford. Killenana’s reward for surprising Parteen is a clash with Smith O’Briens. In the remaining tie, Scariff meet Inagh/Kilnamona.
Draws also took place for games in the business end of the Junior A semi-finals in football and hurling, the Junior B hurling semi-finals and the Senior B semi-finals.
