Donal Moloney’s three month ban has been overturned ahead of today’s All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Wexford, The Clare Echo can reveal.

He was handed down the suspension ahead of the Munster Final defeat to Cork. The Scariff man was mentioned in referee Paud O’Dwyer’s report from the two point win over Tipperary for ‘minor interference’ with linesman Johnny Murphy as well as exchanges with the management from the Premier County.

An unsuccessful appeal was made to the Central Hearings Committee prior to the provincial final where David Reidy had a red card rescinded.

However The Clare Echo understands that the Joint Manager received news late last night that a further appeal launched against the decision proved to be successful and he is now free to patrol the sideline where they come up against the Davy Fitzgerald managed Leinster side at 3pm in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

On Thursday night, Clare announced an unchanged team from the Munster Final loss though it is anticipated that they will not stick with the named fifteen. No Wexford team has yet been announced.
