A guaranteed place in the Munster Senior Hurling final awaits the winners of Clare and Limerick.

John Conlon has been very impressed with what he’s seen from the opposition so far this year. “Limerick are fantastic this year, they’re the team to beat at the moment, themselves and Galway. We’ll be looking forward to it, it will be a massive game for us, we’ll be really going for it”.

Earlier in the year, it took a free taking competition to separate the sides as Limerick kept their composure to prevail in the Allianz National Hurling League quarter-final. Like Clare, they have defeated Waterford and Tipperary in this year’s provincial championship but John Kiely’s side managed to get a share of the spoils against Cork who defeated the Banner County in their first game of the 2018 campaign.

According to Conlon, Clare want to be secure back to back appearances in the Munster Final. “It’s another ding dong battle, rivalry, Clare and Limerick is always a battle and there will be nothing between the teams and you saw that in the League it went to extra time and the frees. They know there will be nothing between us and we’re just going out to try get to a Munster Final and we want to be in a Munster Final and competing to win these trophies and win these titles”.
