Gardaí are anxious to speak to a male driver of a dark coloured Opel Insignia saloon car following Tuesday’s crash on the M18 which claimed the life of Crusheen man, Michael Fogarty.

Ennis Garda Station are keen to hear from the Opel driver who they believe may have witnessed the fatal collision between a red Ford Transit van and a white articulated Volvo truck at Junction 13 Southbound on the M18.

Following an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, an appeal for witnesses was launched. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ennis Garda Station on (065) 6848100 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Meanwhile, funeral details have been announced. The reposal will take place at O’Donnell’s Funeral Home, Crusheen, on Friday 8th June from 5 o’clock with removal at 8 o’clock to St. Cronan’s Church, Crusheen. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in Kilawinna Cemetery, Crusheen.

Michael is survived by his wife Bridget, daughter Susie, sons Jim and Edward, brothers Gerard and Philip, extended family and his wide circle of friends.
