
54,576 individuals in the county turned out to vote in an electorate of 83,225 with one hundred and sixty nine spoiled votes.
In total, 34, 328 voted for YES (63%) and 19,079 for NO (37%).
Three years on from the Marriage Equality Referendum, there was an increase in the turnout of Clare voters. 65.5% of those on the Register of Electors used their democratic right on Friday, compared with 59.4% for the 2015 Referendum.
