MAMA to be Aoibhรญn Garrihy and her mum Clare, members of the Vhi Run Squad, yesterday launched the 2018 Vhi Womenโ€™s Mini Marathon โ€˜Run Together Dayโ€™ which will take place at Lees Road parkrun, Ennis this Saturday, April 14.

Vhi is calling on walkers, joggers and runners of all ages and abilities to join the Vhi Run Squad in kick-starting their training seven weeks out from the Vhi Womenโ€™s Mini Marathon on Bank holiday Sunday, June 3 at 2pm.

Aoibhรญn and Clare Garrihy will visit Lees Road parkrun in Ennis, Clare with the event commencing at 9.30am.

Vhi will be on hand in helping newcomers and regular parkrun participants refuel after their morning exercise and providing refreshments at the finish line.

Over the course of the seven weeks, the Garrihys will document their journey to the Vhi Womenโ€™s Mini Marathon across their social media platforms helping to motivate and inspire women around the country.

The Garrihys are looking forward to kick-starting their Vhi Womenโ€™s Mini Marathon preparations:

โ€œWe canโ€™t wait to start our training programme ahead of the Vhi Womenโ€™s Mini Marathon and weโ€™re really looking forward to Lees Road parkrun on Saturday, April 14.ย  For those of you who have never done the Vhi Womenโ€™s Mini Marathon or a parkrun before, we would encourage you to lace up your runners and join us on our journey. Get your friends together and weโ€™ll see you all on April 14!โ€ย 

Those who register for the Vhi Womenโ€™s Mini Marathon and pay the โ‚ฌ23 registration fee will be able to get the full fee refunded if they have private medical insurance with Vhi.
