EMERGENCY services are attending the scene of a road traffic collision just outside Ennis.

The accident occurred 2.5 km from the town on the N68 Ennis/Kilrush road.

The road is closed and motorists are requested to use an alternative route.

It’s understood a number of people have been injured in the two car collision, which occurred shortly before 8am this morning.
