A STAR performance from Roisin Begley saw her play a central part in Truagh/Clonlara tasting championship glory to see her also win Clare Credit Unions / The Clare Echo player of the week.

Three senior titles in four seasons marks unprecedented camogie success for Truagh/Clonlara. Such an achievement has materialised with quality players, Roisin is among them and once again had an influential role to ensure they brought the McMahon Cup back to South-East Clare.

Roisin finished as top scorer, amsassing a tally of 0-7, four from play but serving as a constant threat in what has been a season full of big performances from the primary school teacher, one in which she was unlucky not to receive an All Star nomination.

Along with picking up the player of the match, Begley was joint captain alongside Joanne Egan and got to lift the McMahon Cup to the delight of Truagh/Clonlara supporters. Capping off the week of big wins, she can add the player of the week to her collection, winning the accolade for the second time this season.
