“EVIDENTIAL items” from properties in Limerick have been seized by Gardaí as part of their investigation into the fatal hit and run of a Clonlara teenager.
On Wednesday morning, Gardaí carried out a search operation at a number of residential locations in Co Limerick. According to a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána, “a number of items of evidential value have been seized.
Bryan Lowe had been travelling on an e-scooter on Friday night before he was involved in a fatal hit and run collision. The sixteen year old was found unresponsive by the roadside on the L3050 at Cottage Cross near Clonlara. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time. Gardaí are following a definite line of inquiry and investigations are ongoing.
In a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon, “An Garda Síochána and the family of the deceased are appealing to media to report appropriately and with respect to the tragic nature of the incident. Online speculation surrounding the live investigation is not helpful to its progress and is causing further distress to those impacted”.
