LOCAL DERBIES and a repeat of last year’s Clare SFC final are among the pairings for the quarter-finals.
Champions Éire Óg and St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield will face off in a repeat of last year’s county final while there will rivalries will come to the fore in the remaining ties as the race for the Jack Daly ramps up a gear.
Neighbours Kildysart and Lissycasey will be battling it out to qualify for the semi-finals. They last met in the 2024 preliminary quarter-final when Lissycasey prevailed on a score of 0-8 0-4 at a wet Kilmihil.
In a repeat of the 2018 decider, neighbours St Joseph’s Miltown and Ennistymon are squaring off. They last did battle in the Clare SFC in 2024 when Miltown were 1-12 0-10 victors. The Seán O’Brien managed side were paired as a seeded team.
With three wins from three, Kilmurry Ibrickane have been handed the task of shaking off a high-flying Doonbeg who advanced to the quarter-finals for the first time in six years when overcoming Cratloe.
There will be a repeat of the 2023 final in the relegation series when Cratloe and St Breckans meet in the relegation semi-finals. The loser will meet Kilmihil to determine who drops down to the intermediate grade for 2027.
For the third year in a row, Cooraclare and Kilrush Shamrocks will square off in the quarter-finals of the Clare IFC. Naomh Eoin and Clondegad are meeting for the second year in the quarter-finals of the second tier.
Killmer the reigning Junior A champions were pulled out as the seeded side and they will meet Wolfe Tones who lined out in the senior ranks last season. Banner who have been one of the most impressive sides in the campaign will play Shannon Gaels.
A North Clare derby will dictate how the relegation battle unfolds in the second tier. Michael Cusacks and Liscannor meet in the semi-final with the loser to face Coolmeen.
Clare GAA officials have confirmed the draw for the Junior B quarter-finals will be held on Wednesday evening.
