AN ELEVEN day art exhibition is to open in Kinvara next Friday.

Triptych artists Gabrielle Murphy, Janet Buell, and John Kennedy will be running their eponymous exhibition from June 12th to June 22nd at the Old Courthouse Gallery in Kinvara.

The public gallery is run by Kinvara Area Visual Artists (KAVA), an artist-led cooperative that recently celebrated its ten year anniversary.

Gabrielle, Janet and John work in a variety of mediums including textiles, pastels, sculpture, painting and collage. Texture, colour, and movement are themes for this show.

Their 2024 exhibition in Kinvara set a record for the Old Courthouse Gallery, attracting 1000 visitors over its ten-day run. This June, gallery-goers can try punch-needle embroidery, needle-felting, print-making, and construction of fun cardboard sculptures.

Belinda Deutinger will launch the exhibition on Friday, 12 June at 7 pm. Belinda is a visual artist based in Kinvara. She has exhibited widely in solo and group shows across the Island of Ireland. She got her B.A. in Art and Design in 2009.
