LISSYCASEY join St Breckan’s at the top of the Cusack Cup table after recording a third successive win.

Lissycasey maintained their winning run in this season’s willwego.com Cusack Cup when they recorded a three point win over St Joseph’s Miltown at Hennessy Park on Wednesday evening.
The game didn’t go ahead as scheduled last Saturday as both pitches weren’t playable due to the inclement weather.
The winners aid the foundation for this win in the opening half at the end of which they held a ten point advantage with the score at 0-14 to 0-4.
Miltown had made the better start and opened a two point lead with the score at 0-3 to 0-1 after ten minutes.
Two pointers from Conor Finnucane and Niall Kelly in a two minute spell gave the visitors a lead that they held to the finish.
Further two pointers followed from Finnucane and Shane Culligan while Michael Meaney, Darren Keane, Darragh Killeen, Ben Skerritt and goalkeeper Thomas Collins also added points.
A more determined Miltown returned for the second half and in the opening ten minutes Cian Mahony landed five points, one single and two two pointers to give their followers hope.
Points from Ben Skerritt and Niall Kelly helped Lissycasey to go 0-16 to 0-9 ahead at the three quarter stage.
Miltown responded with five including another two pointer from Mahoney to leave the score at 0-16 to 0-14 with five minutes remaining. Conor Finnucane and Darragh McDonagh exchanged points before Finnucane then landed a brace to push his side four clear with the match in injury time.
Daire Hill, Michael Meaney, Kevin Shivers, Darragh Killeen. Niall Kelly and Conor Finnucane were prominent for the winners while Seanie Malone, Cian Mahony, Gordon Kelly and Enda O’Gorman worked hard for the home side.
Four-time Clare SFC winner with Éire Óg, Philip Talty made his first appearance in the Cusack Cup at senior level for Lissycasey. He was introduced as a substitute following the granting of a transfer from Éire Óg to Lissycasey.
