AN ONLINE local authority home loan application service has been launched by Clare County Council.
In an attempt to make it easier for eligible applicants to apply for housing finance, the County Council launched the new online service on Tuesday (today). The Local Authority Home Loan is designed to support people who wish to purchase or build their own home, but who have been unable to secure mortgage approval from mainstream lenders, providing an alternative pathway to home ownership.
Applications can be submitted online through the MyCoCo platform, which has been developed with a strong focus on usability and security. The system guides applicants through each stage of the process and includes an eligibility checker to help confirm whether they qualify before proceeding.
Personal and financial information of the applicants is protected throughout the application process “while also offering a more efficient and accessible experience, the Council have stated.
For applicants who prefer not to apply online, Clare County Council will continue to accept paper-based applications, ensuring that all applicants can choose the method that best suits their needs.
