A NOVEL county final awaits between Clooney/Quin and Éire Óg following their success in the Clare SHC semi-finals.

The Clare Echo’s online coverage of the Clare SHC is with thanks to The Temple Gate Hotel.

Clooney/Quin overcame Ballyea in the free-flowing of the semi-finals while Éire Óg emerged victorious in what was a battle of wills against Kilmaley.

Páraic McMahon is joined by Broadford’s Padraig Hickey a member of the All-Ireland winning Clare intermediate side of 2011 and Pat McNamara of Killanena, former selector with Clare’s development squads and an analyst on Scariff Bay Community Radio.

On the clár:

  • Éire Óg edge the battle
  • A game left behind by Kilmaley
  • Clooney/Quin’s composure and not pressing the panic button
  • Shortage of supporting cast for Tony Kelly
  • Staying up is big for Doora/Barefield development
  • Corofin capable of bouncing up
  • Ruan revel in end to end tie
  • Tulla’s intermediate stay continues
  • Clarecastle produce top performance
  • Tubber caught by Magpies breaks
