IT was the game of the round which drew the performance of the weekend as Truagh/Clonlara’s Laura Foley collects the Clare Credit Unions/The Clare Echo player of the week.

Truagh/Clonlara recorded their third win is an many games to leave themselves in top spot of Group 1 ahead of the final round.

They came from six points down at half-time to defeat rivals Scariff/Ogonnelloe and it was their big names that stood tall to help them to a precious one point victory.

Chief among them was Laura in the middle third, not alone was she smart in her use of possession but she popped with the match-winning score to keep the champions on track for a return to the big day.
