DOUBLE HEADERS in the TUS Clare SFC quarter-finals will not take place.

Officials in Clare GAA have cited “incessant rainfall” in their call to move two of the quarter-finals out of Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg.

30 to 35mm of rain is forecast to fall in Ennis between Thursday night and Sunday evening with bursts of heavy thundery showers in blustery winds.

Lissycasey and St Breckans were to kick off the action in Cusack Park on Saturday afternoon but they now have to swap for the surroundings of Páirc Cuar an Chláir in Cooraclare at the earlier time

Cratloe versus Ennistymon was due to be the last of the four fixtures to take place in Cusack Park on Sunday but it will now be held in Páirc Finne, Corofin at 15:30 on Sunday.

Assistant secretary of Clare GAA, Deirdre Chaplin in correspondence to clubs stated, “Due to the incessant rainfall over the last few days and the upcoming forecast of heavy rain. The CCCC will be moving the following fixtures out of Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg”.

Ties between Éire Óg and St Joseph’s Miltown (Saturday 17:00) and Kilmurry Ibrickane against St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield (Sunday 13:00) proceed as planned in Cusack Park.

Similarly, there are no changes to fixtures in the Clare IFC quarter-finals and the relegation deciders at senior and intermediate level.
