TEAMS have only been pulled out of the hat but anticipation is for the quarter-finals of the TUS Clare SHC.

The Clare Echo’s online coverage of the Clare SHC is brought to you by The Temple Gate Hotel.

Clonlara, Clooney/Quin, Éire Óg and Kilmaley have emerged as the top team in each group but they will be joined in the last eight by Sixmilebridge, Inagh/Kilnamona, Feakle and Ballyea.

Meanwhile in the relegation series, Corofin, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Scariff and St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield are all battling to stay in the top tier.

Joining Ross O’Donoghue on The Water Break we have former Cratloe senior hurling manager Conor Earley and 2007 Clare SHC wining captain Michael Murphy from Tulla to react to the quarter-final pairings, the relegation battle and to reflect on the third round.

On the agenda:

  • Reaction to Clare SHC quarter-final draw
  • No complaints for quartet battling relegation
  • Young guns have steeled Sixmilebridge
  • Flatness about St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield
  • Clonlara showing their character
  • Missing out on quarter-final a disappointment for Crusheen
  • Final round draw will renew Clooney/Quin’s focus for quarter-finals
  • Inagh/Kilnamona deeging deep but need to get the best out of themselves
  • Broadford most unlucky of the teams to miss out on last eight
  • Newmarket-on-Fergus on a slippery slope
  • Scoring difference catches Wolfe Tones
  • Éire Óg have got the balance right
  • Pressure is on Culbert & Kilmaley
  • Scariff casualties in the Group of Death
  • Ballyea get better the further they go
  • Quarter-final predictions
  • Player of the week
