ROUND THREE of the TUS Clare SFC threw up some rollercoaster ties as the way to the knockout stages is clear.

The Clare Echo’s online coverage of the Clare SFC is brought to you by The Shannon Springs Hotel.

Slowly walking down the hall faster than a cannonball, nine teams are left chasing the champagne supernova that is the Jack Daly.

Éire Óg, Lissycasey and Kilmurry Ibrickane topped the respective groups with Cratloe, St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield, Ennistymon, St Breckans joining them in the quarter-finals. The last eight will be completed by the winner of the preliminary quarter-final between Doonbeg and St Joseph’s Miltown.

To look back on round three, we’re joined by three-time Clare SFC winner Seán O’Brien of St Joseph’s Miltown, a former goalkeeper coach with Clare’s U20 footballers and by experienced sports reporter Seamus Hayes whose work can be read each week in The Clare Echo, himself a former goalkeeper.
