A yellow weather warning has been issued for the hot temperatures in Clare this Saturday and Sunday.
Met Éireann has issued yellow weather warnings for the average temperature of 27°c this weekend. The warning will be in effect from Saturday 12pm to Sunday 6am. The highest temperature will reach 30°c during the day on Saturday, with the lowest temperature at night being 14°c. The hot weather will cool down on Sunday with an average 25°c and 25% chance of precipitation. Potential impacts include water safety issues, possible forest fires, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, and heat stress.
The RSA is warning road users to be aware of possible sun glare during this time, which can result in being temporarily dazzled or blinded.
Drivers are advised to wear sunglasses, be aware of sun glare when travelling east in the mornings and west later in the day, have an adequate supply of water, ensure windscreens are grease and grime free, and watch out for vulnerable road users. Pedestrians, cyclists, and
motorcyclists are advised to be aware of sun glare at road crossings/junctions and wear sun cream.
