TOONAGH were crowned Division 2 Féile na nGael handball champions in Tyrone.

National handball glory was the reward achieved by the Toonagh team comprised of Maisie, Ava, Amelia, Samantha, Orlaith and Molly after they defeated Carrickmore of Tyrone in the Division 2 final.

Played in Breacach in Tyrone, there was further success when Ava McInerney won the individual skills medal for a fantastic display of skills throughout the competition.

An All-Ireland final was also reached by Toonagh’s boys. Their decider took place in St Mellan’s Handball Club but their team of Fionn, Danny, Cathal, Luke, Gavin and Adam lost out to a strong Kells team in the Division 4 final.

Clooney/Quin reached the Division 3 semi-final in the boys and their girls team missed out on qualification for the play-offs in Division 2.
