CLARE’s ladies footballers head for Wexford this Sunday looking to record a successive victory in the TG4 All-Ireland intermediate championship.

Following a comprehensive 5-12 2-6 home win over Offaly to kick off their championship campaign, Clare head to Chadwicks Wexford Park keen to collect another victory.

A second win would secure top spot in Group 3 for Graham Shine’s Clare as they aim to return to the knockout stages.

Shine and his management have made one change to the starting team with corner forward Lucy Shanahan missing out, the resulting positional changes see Eabha O’Malley enter the fray at corner back.

Caoimhe Harvey wears fifteen but is expected to play in the middle of the field with the captain one of the more experienced starting figures alongside her older sister Grainne, goalkeeper Amy Lenihan and the Kilmurry Ibrickane duo Chloe Moloney and Joanna Doohan.

Visibly Clare’s bench is getting stronger with Ailish Considine, Roisin Considine, Orla Devitt, Louise Griffin and Sinead Considine all listed among the substitutes.
