HOMES and businesses in West Clare remain without internet following a road traffic collision between Lissycasey and Kilrush on Thursday evening.
Shortly before 4pm on Thursday, the single vehicle collision occurred which has led to an internet outage in parts of West Clare.
Over 4,000 homes and businesses have been left without access to internet with crews continuing on Friday morning to restore power.
Businesses in Kilrush have advised customers that card payments have been temporarily affected due to the outage.
Areas impacted include Cooraclare, Doonaha, Doonbeg, Kilkee, Kilmihil, Kilrush, Knock, Labasheeda and Rahey Cross. An estimated 4,448 customers are without internet.
