THE Ennistymon North West Clare Agricultural Show due to take place this June Bank Holiday Sunday has been postponed.

Committee members made the decision to defer the 49th staging of the Show due to the tragic bereavement of Éanna Rouine with his funeral mass taking place in Lahinch on Sunday.

Efforts are ongoing to determine a refixed date for the show.

“We are working with the Irish Shows Association and looking at alternative dates and once we have determined a suitable date we will update you all. Your understanding and cooperation at this very difficult time for our community is very much appreciated,” a spokesperson stated.
