TONY KELLY returns to the Clare team while Shane O’Donnell is listed among the substitutes for Saturday’s game with Tipperary.

Clare welcome Tipperary to Zimmer Biomet Páirc Cíosóg this Saturday, the game has a 6pm start and puts the season on the line for both managers, Brian Lohan and Liam Cahill.

Seán Rynne is to make his championship debut and he is named at midfield but is expected to occupy a position in the half-forward line. Cathal Malone and Ryan Taylor are expected to maintain their midfield partnership.

As reported by The Clare Echo, captain Tony Kelly is back in the mix having missed the eight point loss due to Waterford and Shane O’Donnell for the first time this year is named in the matchday panel.

Both Conor Cleary and Diarmuid Ryan are not listed among the substitutes.

Rynne and Kelly’s addition to the team results in Inagh/Kilnamona duo David Fitzgerald and Aidan McCarthy missing out. First choice freetaker McCarthy is not included in the matchday panel and is understood to have trained with his club on Thursday evening.

Having scored 0-4 in his first championship start, Shane Meehan retains his place in the Clare attack along with Mark Rodgers, David Reidy and Peter Duggan.

Darragh Lohan continues at full-back flanked by Adam Hogan and Conor Leen with Eibhear Quilligan manning the goals. John Conlon is named at centre back with Cian Galvin and David McInerney on either side of him.

There is one change among the substitutes, Ross Hayes returns from injury to claim the number eighteen jersey meaning Colm O’Meara is not in the match day squad.
