DERBY ties are to be reignited in the last eight of the TUS Clare SFC while the exit of Mark Fitzgerald as Clare senior football manager after just one season has sent shockwaves across the county.

Quarter-final draws at senior and intermediate level plus the sudden departure of Mark Fitzgerald as Clare manager have given plenty of talking points.

It means there’s a lot to get through on The Water Break where we’re joined by 2019 Clare SFC winning St Joseph’s Miltown manager David O’Brien, 2009 All-Ireland intermediate winner Áine Kelly and former Doonbeg footballer and 2023 Clare IFC winning Kilmihil manager Brian Dillon.

On the agenda:

  • Reaction to quarter-final draws
  • Standout fixtures in the last eight
  • Anything could happen from here on
  • Intermediate becomes a new championship now
  • Big setback with resignation of Mark Fitzgerald
  • Where to now for Clare football
