ALL QUARTER-final places have been filled in the Clare senior and intermediate football championships.
Preliminary quarter-final wins for Lissycasey and O’Currys in the senior and intermediate respectively confirmed the line-up of the quarter-finals, the draws to decide the last eight pairings will take place at Caherlohan on Monday evening.
Reigning senior champions Cratloe, high-flying Éire Óg and St Breckan’s all finished top of their groups and will be placed in one pot where they will be joined by either St Joseph’s Miltown, Kilmurry Ibrickane or St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield. Both Ennistymon and Lissycasey will be placed in pot two regardless.
At intermediate level, Kilrush Shamrocks, Naomh Eoin and Wolfe Tones will be in pot one after they all recorded three wins from three outings to finish in pole position of their respective groups. Either the Banner, Clondegad or Cooraclare will join them in pot one having finished in the runner-up spot, Shannon Gaels and O’Currys will face either one of the group winners of the fourth side added to pot one.
Weekend results have also determined that it will be Kilmihil versus Corofin in the Clare SFC relegation final with Liscannor to meet Killimer in the intermediate equivalent.
