€11,500 in combined drugs, cigarettes and cash were seized by Gardaí during a search operation in Ennis on Wednesday.

As part of investigations into ongoing criminal activity and recent incidents in the county, An Garda Síochána conducted a search operation in Ennis on Wednesday.

Personnel attached the Crime Office, Ennis Garda Station, Clare Divisional Drugs Unit, Divisional Crime Task Force, members from the Clare Community Engagement area, the Regional Dog Unit and the Armed Support Unit (ASU) in Limerick conducted the searches.

During the course of the operation, eleven search warrants were executed which resulted in the seizure €10,500 worth of suspected heroin, €1,000 worth of suspected cocaine, €2,140 in cash, approximately 300 Xanax tablets, an imitation firearm, 2,500 cigarettes, numerous mobile phones and a dyson vacuum cleaner in its original packaging believed to be worth approximately €1,000.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that no arrests have been made and that investigations are ongoing.
