THE WATER Break makes a welcome return to whet the appetite ahead of a big weekend for three Clare soccer clubs competing outside the county and for the remainder as local action continues.

Joining Pรกraic McMahon on our monthly soccer podcast are sports journalist Eoin Brennan and Bridge Utd coach Eoghan McNulty who is also Head of Recruitment with Treaty Utd.

On the show, we take stock on the season to date within the Clare District Soccer League and how the first two rounds have fared in the Ennis Carpets Clare Cup.

Bridge Utdโ€™s impressive runs at Youths and U17s comes into focus with McNulty giving an insight into their progressive campaigns and what the club needs to do to aid their transition to adult football.

Manus Celticโ€™s chances in the Munster Shield semi-final are detailed by Brennan, himself a former centre-midfielder with the club. The competitionโ€™s benefit for teams outside respective Premier Divisions is noted plus the challenge they face in Ballynanty Rovers B this weekend.

As Avenue Utd bid to topple St Michaelโ€™s AFC in the Munster Junior Cup, their chances of success are analysed in detail. The big decisions facing David Russell and his management in choosing a starting eleven are also debated plus the areas in which Avenue can overcome last yearโ€™s FAI Junior Cup finalists.
