AS the Clare SFC hits round two, we return for a new series of The Water Break, The Clare Echo’s video podcast exclusive to subscribers.

Joining us on the first episode of the new series are former Clare footballer Peadar McMahon, ex Clare minor manager Michael Considine who is currently chairman of Kilmurry Ibrickane and former underage development squad selector Mike Brennan who is from the Éire Óg club.

It’s a busy show following an equally hectic weekend of games in the TUS Clare SFC which began on Friday in the wet surrounds of Cusack Park and ended in the wind of Cooraclare on Sunday evening.

On the Clár:

  • Éire Óg still powering in front as the team to beat
  • St Joseph’s Miltown’s say will not be as big in the championship but they can cause an upset
  • Kilmurry Ibrickane leading the chasing pack while sprinkling youth to their team
  • Relegation woes can be starved off by Corofin
  • Kildysart blow the championship wide open
  • Is age more than a number for Cratloe
  • Horse Moloney brings new life to Lissycasey
  • Ennistymon hindered by growing injury list
  • St Breckan’s firmly back in the hunt
  • Second round slump not a fatal setback for St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield
  • Doonbeg can defy the odds in the final round
  • Clondegad show improvements but not enough to collect first win
  • Intermediate roundup
