ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON comes to a close and the dissection of Clare’s semi-final exit to Kilkenny is the focus in the latest episode of The Water Break.

Three points separated Kilkenny and Clare in Sunday’s semi-final with Eoin Cody’s goal the ultimate difference in the tie that finished 1-25 1-22 in favour of Derek Lyng’s charges.

While the margin has closed since the twelve point defeat last year, the disappointment is even greater.

Joining us on The Water Break to reflect on the game are former Clare goalkeeper Leo Doyle and All-Ireland U21 winner Cillian Fennessy.

On the CLÁR:

  • Eoin Murphy with the greatest save in the game of hurling
  • Sweeper shackled Clare
  • Colm Lyons’ big call
  • Shooting efficiency a roadblock for Clare progression
  • Nullifying Tony Kelly reaps rewards for Kilkenny
  • An unmarkable Shane O’Donnell
  • Unforced errors
  • All Star contenders
  • Where to for Brian Lohan and Clare in 2024
