CLARE’S MINOR hurlers have now turned their focus towards All-Ireland glory.
Brian O’Connell and his management team are sticking with the same starting fifteen that won the Munster minor championship for only the fifth time in the county’s history to face Kilkenny.
Speaking ahead of Clare’s clash with Kilkenny in Semple Stadium on Saturday, O’Connell remarked, “As Eoghan [Gunning] said in his speech this is only objective number one complete as there is now an All-Ireland series to aim for and why not”.
Work done by performance coach, Paul Flanagan who is also a member of the county’s senior squad has stood to the panel to date, BOC maintained. “It’s hard to faze them, they take it all in their stride. They have done a good but of work with Paul Flanagan of the senior team. Paul has talked to them about remaining composed and staying in the here and now and not getting influenced by outside factors”.
