SECOND ROUND pairings have been confirmed for the U21 football championships.
St Joseph’s Miltown have secured a bye to the quarter-finals of the U21A championship where they will hope to pick up their first win of the campaign.
Wolfe Tones who lost out to St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield on Monday evening will have home advantage over Cooraclare. Kilrush/Killimer who suffered a heavy round one loss to Corofin will welcome Éire Óg to West Clare in the second round.
After giving a walkover to Clondegad on Saturday morning, Clooney/Quin have opted to withdraw from the U21B first round.
While The Banner gave a walkover in the opening round, they remain in the competition and will face off with the West Clare amalgamation of Western Gaels while Corofin’s second string will meet Parteen/Meelick with the winner advancing to a third round clash with Cratloe.
