NO INJURIES have been reported following an overnight house fire in Cloughleigh, Ennis.

In what it is the third house fire in the vicinity of Cloughleigh in six months after previous incidents at Gordin Drive (April) and Childers Road (June), Gardaí are in the process of carrying out a fresh investigation.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed, “Gardaí are investigating a fire that occurred at a residential premises in the Cloughleigh area, Ennis, Co. Clare at approximately 12:30am on Friday 21st October 2022. There were no injuries reported. Investigations are ongoing”.

On arrival, the Clare County Fire and Rescue Service from Ennis station, Gardaí and National Ambulance Service paramedics found the downstairs sitting room alight of a property in John Paul Avenue with no occupants of the property present at the time.
