QUARTER-FINAL pairings have been unveiled for the Clare SHC, IHC and Junior B competitions.

Favourites Sixmilebridge have avoided potential heavyweight clashes with Ballyea and Éire Óg but instead have to prepare for the reignition of a local derby tie with Wolfe Tones.

Reigning champions Ballyea will face Clooney/Quin with Matt Shannon’s Éire Óg to face off with Inagh/Kilnamona in a repeat of last year’s county semi-final. The line-up is completed by the meeting of Cratloe and Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Senior survival is also on the line with four teams in must-win territory. Clarecastle have been drawn with Whitegate while the East Clare clash of Smith O’Briens and Scariff pits the 2021 intermediate champions against the side that claimed the Paddy Browne Cup in 2020.

Parteen versus Tulla is the pick of the Clare IHC last eight ties followed by the North Clare derby between Tubber and Corofin. St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield face Ogonnelloe with Sixmilebridge and Newmarket-on-Fergus doing battle.
