Action continued in the Banner Carpets and Flooring Clare Cup over the weekend with Mountshannon Celtic and Lifford sealing their places in the second round.

William Glass scored a hat trick and Oran Scanlon also got on the scoresheet as Mountshannon Celtic recorded a comfortable first round win over Shannon Town C in the Banner Carpets and Flooring Clare Cup.

The East Clare side now advance to face Ennis Town FC in the last sixteen.

The race for the Banner Carpets and Flooring Clare Cup continues this weekend with six games listed for decision.
In round 1, Avenue B will host Kilkishen Celtic while Shannon Town B will have Kilrush Rangers as visitors.

Holders Newmarket Celtic A will travel to play Kildysart Celtic in a round 2 fixture. Also in round 2, Moher Celtic will have Shannon Hibs A as visitors to Lahinch while Avenue United will hope to put the disappointment of losing in both the FAI and Munster junior cups in the past two weeks behind them when they face Manus B on this Thursday with the winners travelling to play Corofin Harps on Sunday.

In an all Premier Division clash, Shannon Town will have home advantage when they entertain Lifford A
