Following the disappointment of losing out in a penalty shoot out in the FAI junior Cup in Wexford on Sunday week last, Avenue United return to action this Sunday when they will face another huge test.

Villa FC from Waterford travel to Roslevan to take on the Clare outfit in the Munster Junior Cup and the kick off here will be at 2p.m.

The current leaders of the Waterford league are also through to the last eight in the FAI Junior Cup and are being tipped by many to win that prestigious title.

Unbeaten in the Clare Premier Division this season, Avenue United are expected to make things difficult for the visitors and a big attendance is expected for what should be a cracking contest

Weather disrupts fixture schedule:

Inclement weather forced a number of cancellations in the St Francis Credit Union Clare soccer fixture list.

The large number of games postponed due to unplayable pitches in the last few weeks, will lead to more midweek games than was planned in the coming weeks.
