*The Hydro Hotel in Lisdoonvarna signed a contract worth €1.53m to house displaced Ukrainians. A WEST CLARE representative has said it is “absolutely critical” that the amount of hotel bedrooms unavailable in the county due to displaced Ukrainians be made known.
*The incident took place at Ennis Mart last August. A FARMER son of Euromillions winner, Dolores McNamara is to “fully contest” assault and breach of the peace charges arising from an alleged incident at Ennis Mart in August of last year.

*The vote was held on Monday in the Council Chamber. A VOTE TO REDUCE the local property tax rate in Clare was resoundingly defeated on Monday and instead councillors opted to keep the highest rate for the next two years.
