THREE people have been taken to hospital following a shooting in Ennis in the early hours of this morning.
A house in the Dún na hInse area of the county town was shot into at approximately 7am this morning.
In a statement to The Clare Echo, a spokesperson from An Garda Siochána noted that “Gardaí are investigating the discharge of a firearm at a residential premises in Ennis Co. Clare, this morning, Friday 24th July 2026. The incident occurred just after 7am at a house in the Dún Na Hinse area”.
“A male aged in his 50s was taken from the scene to University Hospital Limerick be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening. Two other persons that were present in the house were taken to University Hospital Limerick as a precautionary measure. A scene is currently held for technical examination. No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing”, the statement continued.
