*Corporate/Commercial team recognised nationally as Ronan Hynes receives Munster Lawyer of the Year award
MHP SELLORS Solicitors has won two awards at the 2026 Irish Law Awards, one year after being named Irish Law Firm of the Year.
The firm received the national Corporate/Commercial Law Team of the year award, recognising the work of its corporate and commercial practice, while Partner Ronan Hynes was named Lawyer of the Year, Regional Winner for Munster.
The Corporate/Commercial Law Team award reflects MHP Sellors’ work advising businesses on complex commercial matters, including mergers, acquisitions, property, finance and regulatory issues.
Led by Managing Partner Stephen Keogh, the firm’s Corporate/Commercial team includes Caroline Meaney, Partner and Yulia Lennon. The team has advised on a number of significant transactions in recent months, including Metis Ireland’s acquisition by NFP, an Aon company, and Trade Electric Group’s acquisition of Mullingar Electrical Wholesale and the teams ongoing advice to the Local Government sector.

Ronan Hynes’s award as Lawyer of the Year, Regional Winner for Munster, recognises his work in healthcare, medical law and patient safety.
Ronan leads MHP Sellors’ Healthcare team and advises patients and families in complex and often sensitive cases such as birth injuries, delayed diagnosis, brain and spinal cord injuries.
This year, the team has secured several multi-million-euro settlements for individuals with acquired brain injuries and birth related injuries.The focus is very much on rehabilitation—supporting individuals to improve their independence and ultimately their quality of life.
Commenting on Ronan’s award, Stephen Keogh said: “Ronan’s work is defined by a strong commitment to his clients and their families. He combines legal expertise with a clear understanding of the challenges people face when they have suffered serious and catastrophic injuries in healthcare settings. This recognition is very well deserved.”
The awards continue a strong record for MHP Sellors at the Irish Law Awards. In 2025, the firm was named Irish Law Firm of the Year and also received the Munster Personal Injury/Medical Negligence Law Firm/Team/Lawyer of the Year award. In 2024, it won the Munster Civil Litigation Law Firm/Lawyer of the Year award.
In the same year, the firm was awarded Brain/Spinal Injury Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious Neuro-Rehab Times Awards 2024 in the UK.
